I was reminded recently about the importance of story in everything we do. Whether you're a salesman, an artist, or a parent dealing with a teenage son, story can make all the difference. For example:
- salesman - What problem did you solve for someone?
- artist - What clues can you leave to invite the viewer into your art?
- parent - What person do you know lived to regret hanging out with the wrong crowd?
I've often imagined what dialogue the two cherubs might have in the picture below, if cherubs could speak. Hopefully through the angle I chose, the focus point, the lighting, and all the the rest, I've invited you into the story as well.
This comes from the beautiful cemetery we have in Columbiana, OH. This picture is part of a video I produced which is here.
