I just finished a photography class and really enjoyed both the learning and the friendships that I made. One of the best things about the class was the homework assignments. I considered them more like home"play" assignments because it was fun to get shots of leading lines and compositional framing. And since I knew I would be sharing the photos on a large screen in front of the whole class, I was motivated to get the best shots possible and capture what the instructor was looking for.

So give yourself some home"play". Give yourself an assignment. And make sure you find someone or some people to share it with. Maybe you can take a class or join a group and organize a local meetup. With that little bit of accountability, you'll find more focus and direction in your creative pursuit.
